B!KE: The Peterborough Community Bike Shop (known as “B!KE”) is running a program, “Winter Wheels,” that encourages people to continue cycling throughout the winter months.
Winter Wheels is a city-funded program and is free to all 25 participants. Being a part of the program comes with a set of studded, or gripped, tires for winter riding; access to lessons and group rides that teach winter riding skills; and a winter-long membership to the B!KE workshop to learn and conduct your own B!KE maintenance.
Winter Wheels is one of the programs that B!KE facilitates to “empower” cycling in the Peterborough community, says B!KE Program Manager Jean Greig.
Hear from the Winter Wheels program coordinators, and from two participants of this year’s Winter Wheels program, in their interviews with Trent Radio.
