Nelson product and Beaver Valley Nitehawks captain Kaleb Percival has committed to the University of Jamestown for the 2024-25 season.
Percival has spent the last three years in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL). His 18 points in 19 games this season have him well on pace to set a new career high. He’s also fourth in the league in points per game as a defenceman.
When asked why he committed to the University of Jamestown, Percival said, “I want to go to a team where I have a chance to win … there are lots of Canadians on the team which will make the transition (easier).
Located in Jamestown, North Dakota, the University of Jamestown Jimmies play in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). 14 of their 28 players on the roster this season also came from the KIJHL.
