Windsor has just had several locations added to the Period Pin map through a partnership between the Windsor Public Library and the Period Pin organization.
Period Pin is a national organization that has created a map displaying locations where people can find free menstrual products. This raises the accessibility of free menstrual products, helping those who need them in the moment or are struggling to afford them, according to the organization. The group also advocates for Period Poverty and more inclusive language.
On Wednesday (Jan. 24), CJAM spoke with Karen Farley, co-Founder of Period Pin, about the organization, period poverty, and how institutions can be added to the map.
