After suspending the program in December due to a deficit, Community Living Guelph Wellington’s Day Program is set to make a return, with organizers hoping for the end of January.
The program supports adults with developmental disabilities in the community. Provincial funding from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) will balance the books of the organization for the remainder of the year.
Beyond then, it’s all about advocacy for a program and organization Executive Director Cindy Kinnon says is providing critical services.
CICW spoke with Kinnon, of Community Living Guelph Wellington, about what’s been a “tough time” for families, and what’s next for the group who provide support to adults with developmental disabilities.
