Ottawa is looking to bring back its “Rural Summit” this year.
CJRO spoke with George Darouze, Councillor for Osgoode Ward, one of Ottawa’s former independent townships which was amalgamated with the City. Darouze is one of the five rural councillors supporting a new Rural Summit. Two representatives from each rural ward plus their councillors are meeting.
Summits will take place in the next three months, so that farmers and other residents have time to participate before spring seeding and calving seasons start.
