As the temperature plunges, Katherine Benny, Communications and Operations Manager of the Coldsnap Festival, confirms the chatter that the annual ColdSnap Festival will return this February. And this year, most of the events will be hosted in a brand new venue.
Benny says that the majority of the programming will take place at Knox Performance Centre, a new mid-sized venue in the community. This sorely needed space was converted from being solely used as Trinity United Church’s centre of worship, to a shared space supporting arts and culture. Patrons can look forward to excellent acoustics and plenty of capacity for the mainstage events. The new space was also designed with accessibility as a priority.
Late night features will be held in one of the community’s hot spots, the Prince George Legion #43.
This marks the festival’s strengthening partnership with local promoter Mad Loon Entertainment to guarantee room for loud noises and dancing to pull patrons into and out of the long darkness this year.
ColdSnap Festival 2024 runs from February 2-10.
