A $2.5 million donation will build and equip a fourth operating room at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg.

NHH announced Tuesday the donation is from the William B.G. Humphries Radlett Foundation towards the hospital’s $25 million Exceptional Community, Exceptional Care campaign. The gift was coordinated through three trustees of the Radlett Foundation following the passing of William Humphries in 2020.

Construction of the fourth operating room is expected to begin later this year.

CFWN spoke with NHH Foundation CEO Rhonda Cunningham about the donation and other projects this year. The Foundation helps raise funds to support key hospital projects.
