The Town of Deer Lake had to repair close to $100,000 in damage done over the holidays.
Coun. Brett Langdon posted on social media on Dec. 28, 2023 that, for the second time in as many weeks, a speeding and impaired driver ended up in the ditch. Langdon’s post said a driver took out over $100,000 in critical town infrastructure, as well costing thousands in person hour wages.
Mayor Mike Goosney says the RCMP are investigating after one of the town’s lift stations was hit. Goosney says the repairs had to be made immediately.
