Last year, the Minto Fire Department and Wellington County OPP went head-to-head for a good cause in their first ever charity hockey game. The game raised funds for Minto Minor Hockey.
This year, the same event will run for a different cause: this time putting the dollars towards purchasing an MRI machine. The goal is to aid the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation with their campaign. Admission is by donation.
Matthew Burton, Wellington County OPP’s Media Relations Officer, says while maintenance to an MRI machine is provincially funded, community support is vital to get one up and running.
