It’s not every day that a mayor is asked when the municipality will be getting a rollercoaster.
Last week, Mayor Hegadorn celebrated with Ms. Beattie’s 5th grade class at Odessa Public School for the pizza party they won during Local Government Week. This was the 2nd year the township ran a draw for a pizza party as part of their Classroom to Community event during Local Government Week.
The roller coaster question was a new one, he noted in his presentation at this week’s council meeting where Mayor Hegadorn took the time to reflect on some of the questions he received from students, their perspectives, and their overall engagement.
The township hosted a number of local grade 5 classes during the Classroom to Community event, with all participating classes having been entered into the draw.
