On Tuesday, the The Simon Fraser Public Interest Research Group (SFPIRG) held a book fair, titled Rebel Reads, consisting solely of books related to social and environmental change.
SFPIRG referred to the sale as a “radical” book fair, and hopes that the curated collection of social justice content is able to promote political discussion among the SFU student community.
SFPIRG is a student-led organization focused on providing educational resources on social and environmental justice.
CJSF attended the book fair and spoke with SFPIRG on how the idea for the fair was developed, their curation process, and their goals for the event.
