A new report by ArtsLink NB, a Saint John-based arts service organization, representing artists, organizations, and cultural workers, found serious issues in the areas of funding, infrastructure, and pay for cultural workers in the province.
The report, conducted by Kelly Hill, of Hill Strategies Research, looked at various venues across the province, including art galleries, performance venues, museums, libraries, and community centres, and spoke with those who work in such venues.
Julie Whitenect, Executive Director of ArtsLink, spoke with Local 107.3FM about the aims and scope of the report, as well as the findings, and the potential signs of hope for the New Brunswick cultural sector.
The report, and more information about ArtsLink, can be found at artslinknb.com.
