The city of Corner Brook has hired a consultant to design improvements at Bartlett’s Point Park in Curling.
At last night’s public meeting, council approved a contract with Englobe Corp. for the Bartlett’s Point Park improvements in the amount of slightly more than $110K.
Mayor Jim Parsons tells Bayfm that this project consists of the design of an access road off of Petries Street that will lead to an accessible parking area complete with pavement, curb and drainage.
Parsons says the design of a band stand area will include electrical service and lighting.
Funding was provided by the Department of Industry, Energy and Technology (IET) and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).
