Climate change is a subject that requires a lot of talking to understand, but actions are what are needed to solve the crisis. That’s why this year’s Community Climate Action Workshop is billed as “It’s Time to Act — No More Hot Air”.
Nearly five years after the first Sackville community climate forum, the municipality’s advisory committee on climate change is hosting another public session designed to spur action on adapting to and mitigating impacts of the changing climate.
CHMA talks with committee member Adam Cheeseman about why he thinks residents of all walks of life should go to the workshop.
“It’s about being guided by the work that’s been done previously to kind of identify priorities and different actions and different needs,” says Cheeseman, “and getting people together to think about, okay, what are our next steps?”
