According to the Alberta Government, the province has the third highest rate of
self-reported spousal violence in the country. Now there’s a new campaign aiming
at bringing awareness to this emotional and impactful issue. November is Family
Abuse Prevention month. Sandra O’Dougherty and Marie Laventure of the Peace River Regional Women’s shelter spoke to us about how spousal violence is everybody’s problem.
