A program in Northumberland County seeks to partner isolated or lonely seniors this holiday season. Community Care Northumberland has launched its “Adopt a Senior” campaign.

As part of the program, donors are matched with seniors. A gift is bought by the donor, based on information collected by Community Care Northumberland.

A call for donors is underway, as there are approximately 130 seniors hoping for a festive connection. Gifts are due to Community Care Northumberland by Dec. 6, for distribution prior to Christmas.

Community Care Northumberland’s Sharlyn Gillespie and Chelsea Rankin discussed the Adopt a Senior campaign with CFWN News Reporter Dan Jones.
