Recently retired University of New Brunswick military history professor Brent Wilson launched his latest and final contribution to the New Brunswick Military Heritage Book Series this week.
War Among The Clouds: New Brunswick Airmen In The Great War, is the third title in the series authored by Wilson, who is a co-founder and has been the editor of the series since it started in 2003.
The 31st book in the series, which Wilson said was created to fill in the gaps in New Brunswick’s military history, documents the 252 New Brunswick soldiers who served as airmen in the Great War from 1914-18, the first conflict where aircrafts played a significant role.
Wilson tells CHSR News about the stories his new book tells and the impact and legacy he hopes the now completed series will leave.
