Award winning author, photographer and environmental advocate Graeme Pole will be featured in an exhibition called “Between Worlds” opening November 1 at the Misty Rivers Gallery in New Hazelton.
Pole, a resident of the Kispiox Valley, has been writing about human history and the natural history of western Canada since 1989. His catalogue includes thirteen published titles with over 300,000 books sold.
He is also a member of the Kispiox Valley Community Centre Association, speaking out against industrial projects that pillage the landscape and livelihood of the residents, animals, and plants that exist in these remote landscapes. The mountains, rivers, and creatures that live in these wild places are the characters in his latest collection, ‘Between Worlds’.
Graeme Pole will also be hosting a discussion about what it means to be a photographer on November 7th at the gallery.
