Montrealers met in downtown Place du Canada Wednesday night in honour of Indigenous victims of police killings.

Six Indigenous people were killed by RCMP and local police in an 11-day period, starting Aug. 29. A seventh was killed on Tuesday, APTN reports.

The vigil was co-organized by the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal and day shelter Resilience Montreal; around a hundred people attended.
