Local Nanaimo artist Annabelle Bail is hosting a community mural project to bring community members together.
The project is in part of BC Culture Days which is a celebration of arts, culture, and heritage through free events in communities across the province. Bail became an ambassador for BC Culture Days as she was interested in being active in the community and building a project for it.
Bail came down to the CHLY radio station to talk about their mural project as well as a recent blog post they wrote for BC Culture Days on the stigma and fear some people have against the downtown Nanaimo area.
The community mural event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 22 at the Nanaimo Art Gallery from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
