Four Nanaimo citizens have received the King Charles III Coronation Medal for their outstanding work in the Nanaimo community.
Nanaimo’s Laurie Grubb, Amanda Hall, Peter Sinclair, and Constable Joshua Waltman were the four recipients of the Coronation Medal in Nanaimo. The medal commemorates those who have made “a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region or community of Canada, or have made an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada.”
CHLY attended the award ceremony on Sept. 5 and spoke with the recipients about their work in the community and how it feels to be awarded the medal.
