Port Hope Police say local elementary teacher Kelly-Anne Jennings is facing 18 sexual-related charges involving youth.
The Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board confirmed the Grade 8 teacher has been at St. Anthony Catholic Elementary School in Port Hope since 2016.
Jennings, 40, was charged with sexual assault and sexual interference on Aug. 29 following initial allegations and further investigation resulted in another arrest and 16 more charges, including seven counts of luring a person under 16 by means of telecommunication. She was also charged with three counts of distributing sexually explicit material to a person under 16, and two counts each of accessing child pornography, invitation to sexual touching under 16 and making, printing, publishing or possessing for the purpose of publication of any child pornography.
