The newly created Revelstoke Women’s Collective has been launched to provide women leaders an opportunity for connection and growth.
Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Caroline LaChapelle said the collective was formed in response to inquiries from women leaders on the Chamber’s board of directors.
“I realized, if the women on my own board are looking for that connection, surely the smaller amounts of questions that we’re getting when we have other types of networking events or connection pieces through the Chamber are probably a lot louder than what we’re hearing,” said LaChapelle.
StokeFM report Melissa Jameson recently sat down with LaChapelle and Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce past president Maggie Spizzirri to talk about the women’s collective and the work it hopes to achieve to support women leaders in the community.
The Revelstoke Women’s Collective is hosting its first event September 24 to 26.
