Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) are in the process of finding the Six Nations Dental Clinic a temporary home following Gane Yohs Health Centre’s closure in spring due to mold.
During the Aug. 19 meeting, SNEC approved a motion to purchase a 48 ft. dental trailer for the dental clinic to operate it’s services out of for the time being.
Since the Gane Yohs Health Centre’s closure that began on April 23, the dental clinic has not had a facility to use to provide services to the community.
It was detailed at that the the Aug. 19 meeting that a trailer will be purchased from Tesco Specialty Vehicles for $245,000 USD.
Council says the trailer can be delivered in the next two to three weeks and once operational will be located at the White Pines Wellness Centre.
