A local winery is looking to land a Guinness Book of World Records and Aug. 10 could be the day.
Karlo Estates winery is hosting their 100 per cent Vegan culinary Long Table event that day and are hoping to set a world record for the most people partaking in a vegan dinner at a long table.
With the Guinness application process, the number of people will be recorded, the event will be witnessed, and then the results will be submitted to the Records Management Team at Guinness for review, according to the winery team.
The Karlo event features celebrity vegan chefs serving up a seven course vegan dinner at the vineyard on the path to the dry stone bridge covering Hubbs Creek.
Located in Prince Edward County, Karlo is the world’s first certified vegan winery and has been producing wines since 2010.
