The Kick & Push theatre festival has returned for its 10th anniversary season with a full new lineup of performances around the city until August 18, and some new approaches towards their work.
“It’s a super significant year, and I think we’re sort of celebrating that by refining our process, refining what we’re doing. A big theme this year is elevating what we’ve been up to as opposed to introducing new crazy things, rather making our programming stronger,” says Robert Herz, Marketing Coordinator for the 2024 festival.
Kick and Push is known for “innovative” theatre, its very first season in 2015 already featuring plays in moving vehicles and performers inviting the audience to join them on stage. Since its inception, the festival has continued to add new locations, and this year is no different, featuring performances biking through downtown Kingston and set in a basement apartment.
