In today’s 97.5 ELMNT FM news brief — The Ottawa Police have placed charges on a male individual for numerous sexual assault related offences. The suspect, Rayon Finnikin, is a 37 years old supply teacher in the Ottawa area. The victim is male and under 18 years old and Ottawa police believe there are more victims. ELMNT FM reached out to the Ottawa Catholic School Board and was told that had previously worked in an area school last year as an occasional supply teacher, and that no incidents have been reported.
In other news – This weekend was busy for Ottawa and Ontario police, with a collision occurring on Highway 417 due to an impaired driver.
