Milton Parc’s only co-operative business has once again opened its doors. Bar Milton Parc (BMP), operating in the old Bar Des Pins space at 3714 Park Ave., has been closed for renovations since January and reopened officially July 17.
BMP is serving drinks and hosting community events, but has plans to start a solidarity meal program for the community this fall. Staff say that program would introduce a pay-what-you-can lunch for people in the neighbourhood.
Renovations improved the space’s accessibility and added gender-neural washrooms. They also introduced a working kitchen, which the staff are at work furnishing to host the meal program.
