Quadra Island RCMP are seeking the public’s help to find a vessel that was stolen from Whaletown, Cortes Island.
Police were informed on June 11 that a grey 2022 Kingfisher 2725 Weekender with twin Yamaha 150 Hp outboards was stolen from a dock in the 900 block of Thunder Rd.
“As much as it is a fair sized boat and a relatively expensive boat, they’re actually a little bit more common than people might be aware of,” says Constable Tyre, media liaison for the Campbell River and Quadra RCMP. “That creates some issues for us when people see boats that are very similar to this vessel, and they will call it in. And we have been checking them out to make sure that they are not stolen vessel.”
