After working professionally for ten years Toronto comedian Tracy Hamilton will be releasing her first album on Jun. 14.
The album ‘Human Person’ has been a goal of hers since she first started comedy says Hamilton.
To get it together she says that she has gone through all of notebooks for the last ten years to build the material used in the album. When revising her older material for the release Hamilton says that she found some the jokes no longer worked in her sets.
“What I found was not necessarily [that] I [didn’t] think the [jokes were] funny anymore, but things change…a million people have talked about the same subject and it doesn’t feel as fresh. Or it just didn’t feel true to my sort of voice and style currently.”
The album release show will be on Jun. 15 at the Comedy Bar.
