The World Hydrogen Summit 2024 was recently held in Rotterdam, Netherlands and Qalipu First Nations Chief Jenny Brake attended the event.
The chief says the event provided an opportunity for her to speak about Indigenous involvement in projects; NL and Canada had a large delegation at the event. Many developments over the years have gone beyond timelines, like Muskrat Falls, and Brake says she believes it’s important that everyone’s voices are heard. She admits it’s hard to pick a side in wind hydrogen development, but says she is “pro-responsible progress.” Brake was speaking on this week’s edition of Qalipu today with Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit.
