With only six months left before the next provincial election, parties, candidates and advocacy groups are gearing up for what could be one of the hottest political contests this province has seen in years.
The BC Wildlife Federation (BCWF) made a stop in Smithers to meet with potential voters and their membership to discuss the groups priorities for the upcoming election and what changes they would like to see around habitat protection and better management of wildlife populations and ensure hunting and fishing rights are protected as well.
“With these coming elections people have to take a look at what matters,” said David Lewis, President of the BC Wildlife Federation.
