Six Nations artist Arnold Jacobs hopes he can continue to pass on cultural traditions through his artwork which is currently on display at the Glenhyrst Art Gallery in Brantford.
Jacobs’ exhibit “Power of the Feather” has been on showcase at the art gallery since March 23 and will end this weekend on May 19.
Jacobs says with his artwork he hopes to help keep Indigenous culture and traditions alive.
“I realized that we weren’t taught a lot of culture in school,” he said.
“By showing pictures, I think they remember pictures more than words,” he added.
He says his current gallery features over 24 paintings and his first ever full-scale sculpture.
