Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC) have launched a new pledge program to “supplement” its Economic Development Trust in the ways the organization puts surplus profits back into the community.
With the new pledge program, organizations may submit capital project pledge requests for a minimum of $10,000 and up to a maximum of $50,000. Organizations are also required to secure matching funding in the amount of the pledge before it is advanced and they must identify how their project aligns with the 2019 Six Nations community plan.
SNGRDC says the program’s funds will cover a broad range of community priorities like health, infrastructure, or environmental capital projects and can be used to increase services for organizations serving the community.
SNGRDC Pledge Program will open bi-annually in May and September. The first round of applications will be released May 1 and the submission deadline will be June 24.
