The H’art Centre is celebrating their 25th Anniversary this weekend with their first opera-inspired show “Happy.”
The H’art Centre provides opportunities for artists with disabilities and those facing barriers in the Kingston area.
“For the last 25 years, H’art has been striving to make art that is relatable, expressions of simple pleasures, and developing deeper connections with the people around them,” said Camille Spencer, director of Happy. “This performance was designed to highlight the many different artistic forms that H’art practices and the talents of the people who’ve attended throughout the years.”
H’art artists will be taking the stage at the Isabel Bader Centre on Saturday, April 20 at 6 p.m. for one performance of “Happy,” which has been in the works for the past year. This show is also a collaboration with local artists, including students with the DAN School of Drama and Music. The show will also mark their first event associated with the Watershed Festival.
