A closure on Route 106 is leaving some drivers who aren’t in the know confused, with a lack of detour signage in place.
CHMA talks with Dorchester councillor Debbie Wiggins-Colwell about the problem, and also concerns about possible damage to the detour route, as it takes on traffic from the closed 106.
“I know roads have to be fixed,” says Wiggins-Colwell, “but please tell people where they have to detour to… Put a detour sign up. This is very confusing for everybody.”
MLA Megan Mitton says her office has been in contact with the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure since last year about issues that caused the closure on the 106 where it crosses over Two Mile Brook.
