Due to March break having just passed, families might be considering what type of schooling to have their kids enroll in, or whether a different type of schooling would suit them better. For example, would homeschooling or public schooling work better for their children? The decision can be hard to make, as parents might not know if their families and children would suit one type over the other.
Some areas also have support groups for homeschooling families, such as the Windsor-Essex Muslim Homeschoolers. This group provides opportunities for the homeschooling children and parents to socialize, support each other, and share ideas.
For those parents that are struggling to make that decision, the founder of the Windsor-Essex Muslim homeschoolers organization, Ayesha Mirza, discussed the benefits and drawbacks she is aware of.
