The long-running, beloved Vogue Cinema in downtown Sackville closed last summer, and has been up for sale since. But the Vogue is now off the market, and a bankruptcy filing and an outstanding debt on the property could be complicating its future.
CHMA looks into the situation with the Vogue property, and the numbered company that had operated the cinema, and speaks with one of the members of a group that is poised to help revive the Vogue as a community cultural space.
Shary Boyle is a celebrated artist and Sackville resident who says the process to save the Vogue has been “more complicated than what we had hoped,” but the group has not given up on the project.
