From March 15th to the 24th in Sherbrooke it’s gaming week, and the highlight is an event called “La Console qui Console” at the Centre de foires de Sherbrooke on March 23rd and 24th.
Hubert Pelletier, event president, sees it as more than just a gaming fest. Describing himself as part geek, part family man, and part professional, Hubert says “La Console qui Console” prides itself on inclusivity, welcoming gaming enthusiasts and families alike. Funds raised from the event goes toward supporting local charities.
He describes the event as “a one stop shop for trying out all kinds of games .. anybody who likes to have fun and play board games, run around or play video games”. Participants can even take a break from sitting in from of a gaming console to run around and shoot some Nerf guns.
“It’s also for families where parents can bring their kids to entertain them .. but at the end of the day, they are the ones who won’t want to leave”.
