The Corner Brook area received an average of 50 mm of rain over the weekend and snowmobile trails have been affected. The Western Sno’Riders held a meeting last night to talk about problem areas in need of repair.
Some parts of the trails were flooded but later in the day, they were drivable, says the group’s president Glenn Green, and most trails are intact but having enough snow is becoming an issue.
The snowmobile group members are checking areas and posting dangerous sections, but snowmobilers are advised to stick to the trails and avoid the back country. CKVB News spoke with Green about the situation.
