On a visit to communities on Vancouver Island, Leader of the Federal NDP Jagmeet Singh stopped by Nanaimo on Friday, March 8
He and Nanaimo-Ladysmith MP Lisa Marie Barron spent some time volunteering at Loaves’ & Fishes free food market while talking about their recent call for a national school food program to be implemented in the upcoming federal budget.
Before the event, Singh came to the CHLY station to talk about his visit to Nanaimo.
He talks about how this trip is to hear from islanders and make sure they are not forgotten. He also talks about the newly proposed federal pharmacare plan.
