The 2024 Junior All Native Tournament (JANT), one of the biggest youth sporting events in BC, is coming to Terrace.
Nisga’a Nation is hosting the event which will take place during spring break from March 17-22. Opening ceremonies are set for March 17 at the Terrace Sportsplex, featuring the Gitlaxdax Nisga’a Terrace Society Dancers.
JANT brings together young Indigenous athletes from various nations; 88 teams are scheduled to attend.
The event will be hosted in six facilities in Terrace, including two portable courts in the Terrace Sportsplex.
The City of Terrace is preparing for the influx of people and businesses are being informed to avoid running out of stock.
CFNR talked with Mike Davis, one of the managers for the JANT committee.
