The Durham District School Board and the Durham Catholic District School Board are facing transportation issues due to heavy snowfall and icy roads. In a written statement, DSTS advised that buses were cancelled in Zone 1 (Brock Area) “due to road conditions resulting from inclement weather.”
Toronto Police are in search of multiple suspects from a shooting that occurred around the Jamestown area. According to the Toronto Police Operations X Page the occupants of a vehicle opened fire on another vehicle.
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario has announced changes to some rules and regulations regarding the use of cartoon figures, influencers, and athletes in gambling advertisements. In an online statement, the AGCO now allows the use of athletes in advertising and marketing for the exclusive purpose of advocating for responsible gambling practices. These changes will come into effect on Feb. 28.
