Approval by Cumberland Village Council to make an exemption to the Noise Control Bylaw will allow for the Summer Concert Series in Cumberland to run later into the night
At a Cumberland Village Council meeting on Feb. 27, a motion was made for an exemption to the Noise Control Bylaw from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings from July to August for the annual Thursday night Summer Concert Series.
CHLY spoke with Cumberland Mayor Vicky Brown about the importance of making exemptions to the bylaw to allow the concert series to go late in the evening. As well, she mentions how she thinks it is important for the village to make sure everyone in the area understands the changes to the bylaw and the late-night music that will occur on Thursday nights in the summertime.
