Residents in Minto are working to have gun hunting allowed in the municipality on Sundays.
Currently, gun hunting is permitted every other day of the week aside from Sunday.
A letter of support from a resident and a delegation from a member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters aimed to shine a light on the benefits of gun hunting for a municipality and for wildlife safety.
Mark Ryckman of the OFAH and resident hunter Jill Machan were before council at a meeting this week to discuss all this and more. Council will return with a staff report at a future meeting.
