Loyalist Township staff are looking for a location in Bath to install a bike repair station along Highway 33. A number of these stations will be installed this year and paid for by the Loyalist Parkway Association’s 2024 operating budget.
The Loyalist Parkway Association looks after the stretch of Highway 33 between Quinte West and the east side of Amherstview. Among a few other initiatives carried on from last year, the association has decided on the addition of bike repair stations so cyclists can stop for repairs or other minor fixes while out on the road.
At their council meeting this week, staff mentioned currently seeking out a location for one of the repair stations in Bath.
The list of projects carrying on from last year include maintenance and landscaping at both ends of the stretch, maintenance of the garden at the Picton roundabout, tree plantings, and 1812 veteran grave markings.
