Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC) announced on Tuesday that 12 community groups or organizations have been shortlisted to be recipients of the development corporation’s Economic Development Trust (EDT).
The EDT which has invested over $17 million in the Six Nations community since 2016, takes surplus profits that are generated by SNGRDC and provides funding with those profits to community groups and organizations that address community priorities.
SNGRDC released the shortlist in a Feb. 13 media release, and now those 12 groups and organizations will provide an in-person applicant presentation that will be reviewed and scored by the EDT Committee to determine the status of their funding requests.
Applicant presentations will be open to the public and will take place on Saturday, February 24th at 2498 Chiefswood Rd. beginning at 9 a.m.
