Victim Services Toronto and Nelson Lee have partnered to bring “Angie” to the streets in Toronto.
Angie is a safety app designed to prevent danger, and simplify the process of seeking help for victims.
The Angie app is designed to notify trusted individuals, victim services, and the police with a single click. Angie also helps users find the safest route by utilizing crowdsourced data using location services.
According to the Angie App Developers, the app can also save documents and evidence such as voice recordings, written notes, and photographs of injuries or any details victims may need if they choose to report the incident later on.
