Vanessa Austin says she was initially shocked, then the nostalgia hit, when a wallet her mother lost in Toronto in 1983 showed up at her workplace.
Austin, a Fergus resident, says Andrew Medley of Detroit was the man generous enough to return it to her office in Guelph when he was passing through the area.
CICW chatted with Austin on the heels of the wallet’s Fergus return, on the journey and the rush of emotions that ensued when the contents of the wallet were revealed.
