The Conservative Party of BC named Claire Rattée from Kitimat as their candidate for the Skeena riding. The party made the announcement Jan. 30.
She has had two unsuccessful bids for a seat in 2019 and 2021 as a federal member of Parliament with the Conservative Party of Canada, coming in second to MP Taylor Bachrach.
Rattée spoke with CFNR about her campaign on economic development, the housing crisis and healthcare and addiction recovery support. Rattée is a small-business owner and entrepreneur, and owns a Tattoo Shop in Kitimat and as such will be looking out for small business owners, she says. She also shares personal struggles shes had and over came, and how this will help her efforts to bring addiction support to the region.
B.C.’s next provincial government election is scheduled for Oct. 19 this year.
